History

Stjepan Pavicic, geologist and mountaineer, with more than 20 years of experience in voyages, ascents and both scientific and sporting expeditions throughout Chile and especially in southern Patagonia, founded Nómadas Outdoor Services in 2002 in the course of the organization of the first WENGER PATAGONIAN EXPEDITION RACE^®.

The name "Nómadas" is derived from the Indian natives of the extreme southern part of America, who had to organize themselves in small nomadic groups in order to survive in the harsh conditions of this area.

Today the company is located in Punta Arenas and consists of a team of Chilean as well as international professionals of the following areas: geology, cartography, tourism, outdoor activities (instructors in mountaineering and kayaking), marketing, financials, and architecture.
